I started up an instance with an existing key pair. When trying to retrieve the default Windows password through the AWS console, this error message came up.
<span style=”font-weight: bold; margin-left: 10px”>No password was found.</span>
There does not appear to be a generated Administrator password for this windows instance. It is likely that this AMI has a built-in password known only to its creator. Please check the Log Output for details or contact the AMI owner.
This is quite worrying. Did the routines to set up this password not work? Does anyone have a fix?
