    Hello, All
I am a PHP developer using PHP and MySQL. I would like test out AWS by using AWS as my staging environment. I.E, I will develop on my own machine using XAMPP and CodeIgnitor. When I’m ready to do my beta test, I move my programs to AWS. I would like to keep to the free tier as much as possible. I think I see 2 ways to do this: EC2 with my data loaded into the resident MySQL turn runs continuously or an Elastic BeanStalk with my data loaded into an RDS. The Beanstalk gets shut down when I’m not testing and the RDS maintains my data, but stays live. Am I imagining this properly? Are there better ways for me to start?
